Welcome

Caroline Swinburne is a musician, piano teacher and writer of music-themed fiction.

She studied music and joined the BBC where she worked briefly for Radio 3 before getting side-tracked by speech radio. For the next two decades she worked as an independent feature maker for Radio 4 and World Service before re-training as a music therapist and piano teacher.

Caroline is the author of two music-themed novels; the first, Solo, will be published by The Book Guild in September 2025.

She has two sons, and lives in south-east London with her husband David.
